History of Disney Land
History of Disney Land
In
the early 1940s, kids started asking to see where Mickey Mouse and Snow White lived.
Disney resisted giving studio tours because he thought watching people making
cartoons was boring. Instead, he thought of building a character display beside
the studio.
Disneyland
Park, originally Disneyland, is the first of two theme parks built at the
Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, opened on July 17, 1955. It is the
only theme park designed and built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney.
Walt
Disney came up with the concept of Disneyland after visiting various amusement
parks with his daughters in the 1930s and 1940s. He initially envisioned
building a tourist attraction adjacent to his studios in Burbank to entertain
fans. Walt bought a 160-acre (65 ha) site near Anaheim in 1953. Construction
began in 1954 and the park was unveiled on July 17, 1955.

Disney Land : Introductory Poem
Disney Land
Let’s go on a ride to a breath-taking, majestic, exhilarating land,
There are so many theme parks in the world.
Knott’s Berry Farm, Lego land, Six Flags, Universal Studios,
But nothing compares to this place.
It knocks at your door with an opportunity to go jump in a pool of ice cream.
Once you hear the word you jump for joy,
Make airplanes become shooting stars;
A creation of amusement that allows adults to become kids again.
The rides will give you thrills and chills,
Make you super energetic that you’ll run faster than the hypersonic ride Space Mountain.
Taste of adventures in Indiana Jones,
The castle, so jaw-dropping striking, as if it was gold wrapped around beauty.
Sugar-coated with happiness, the aroma fills the air,
Even characters there are Goofy, and they’re always in Wonderland,
There’s Mickey, Minnie, Mad Hatter, Maleficent, Mary Poppins, Mulan.
All you hear is laughter whip across your face,
When you take a massive splash off a mountain.
The fireworks are shimmering stars operated by Tinker Bell.
It creates fantasies and tomorrow’s new adventures;
It’s the happiest place on Earth,
Welcome to Disneyland.

My dear

I am thankful to all of in participating with my Squadron in flood relief campaign. As you all know that this year south Punjab and Sindh were again struck by floods.Unfortunately media did not projected it at the requisite level.
Being a member of Pakistan Air Force, our main air base at Jacobabad in Sindh is located at a place were the flood came. All PAF personnel participated with full zeal and zest to help their country men who suffered in this natural disaster. We 30 pilots of our squadron in Quetta also initiated this campaign at a very small level
In that effort i requested all of you to help us.I can say with pride and happiness that what you all did was beyond my expectation and only Allah can give you the reward of your efforts ...
Alhamdulillah we managed to make ration packs for large no of families for one week duration.I pray to Allah that he always give you the strength to help others
we all are in a relation of mankind
we all are Muslims

May Allah guide us to follow the right path

Golden Eggs of Mushlak
A glance at the title gives a shaky image that this post is about some old fairy tale that we use to listen as a bedtime story. But it is not like that ....then what are the golden eggs and what the heaven on earth Mushlak is??Let me introduce you with a place called Mushlak about 40 km in the west of Quetta city ,a barren land with small populated villages scattered around....sky as clear as crystal...land as barren as a desert.I often visit this place as my job routine, indeed a tough to time spend at such place but after all "nokar ki te nakhara ki"(job is a job, you can't say no)......ok now you are not confused about Mushlak ......but Golden Eggs are still a mystery ........If i am not wrong we used to read the story of Golden Goose ....actually the goose in that story was not itself golden buit it used to lay golden eggs.......so the eggs i saw in Mushlak were actually not golden eggs but the had same impact on the native people as they were actually golden eggs. You don't believe me that about 3 to 4 days before the Eid ul Azha ( a muslim festival), people from mushlak came to us to sell desi eggs so that they could have some money for the Eid festival.Whenever we buy their eggs the happiness and smile at their faces always remind me the story of golden goose as it was one of their major sources of income. Its not always the gold or money that matters but mostly it is the time and space which make ordinary things more valuable than gold and money. So if you want to have an omlet of golden eggs in you breakfast ,you are welcom to join me in Quetta lodges.

ONLY THING THEY DIDN'T DO IS TAP THE NOSE OF THE FIGHTER!
A British Royal Air Force Typhoon pilot flies up to the back door of a C-130 (Hercules) for a photo opportunity.
He radios, "How much closer do you want me?"
They radio, "How much closer can you get?"
Pilot Radios,........."Close enough?"
You have to be a tad mad to be a fighter pilot in today's world but, even crazier to be a photographer looking down those air intakes!
Saudi Arabia? Or Afghanistan ??
NO !!!

Story of a Living Conscience "Asghar Khan"
In 1941, Asghar Khan was twenty years old and had barely completed a year of service in the air force. It was the time of martial law in Sindh, imposed to control the Hur freedom movement led by the Pagaras and their followers who had been fighting the British rulers since 1843.
Col Richardson, the martial law administrator at the time, was hot on the trail of the then-Pir Pagara Syed Sibghatullah Shah and had just received information that a caravan, of which Pagara was a part, had been located some 15-20 miles from Sanghar. Four air force planes were sent to strike the caravan and kill Pagara. The young pilot leading the mission was Asghar Khan.
Some hours later, the planes returned to Hyderabad where an eager Richardson stood waiting on the airfield.
“Richardson asked what happened and I told him we did not strike the caravan because women and children were also part of it,” an 81-year-old Asghar Khan said at his residence on Sunday. “I told him it was not my job to strike women and children and so we returned without doing anything.”
Richardson asked Asghar Khan why he didn’t obey his command. “Because it was illegal,” he replied.
“I was twenty years old with one year of service but my conscience told me something. Who don’t those in command now also hear the voice of their conscience?” Asghar Khan asked.
Of course, an inquiry was held against Asghar Khan and the other pilots, though nothing came of it. Sixteen years later, he went on to become the youngest and first native Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Air Force.
